The research activity of the Institute is centred around the use of spectroscopy (NMR, IR, optical and UV) and computer simulations to understand the structural and dynamical properties of matter at the molecular level. The different research activities within this general theme, including high-resolution spectroscopy in the gas phase, NMR and EPR spectroscopy of liquid and solid samples, nano-optics and computer-assisted molecular dynamics, are described in detail on the pages of the different groups.
